About Me

Richard Jeanty
Queens, New York, United States
Shortly after earning a B.A. and in Fine Arts from the University of Massachusetts, and working toward a Master's degree in film and television writing at Boston University, I moved to New York City. I taught at Morris High School in the Bronx, and worked for the Department of Social Services’ Administration for Children’s Services. I also served as a Program Director at The Hudson Guild in New York City helping underprivileged kids. In 2001, I decided to pursue my passion for writing full-time. Over the last 15 years, I have written 20 books and published over three dozen written by other authors. I founded RJ Publications to both publish my own work and to provide an invaluable conduit for talented writers of color to have their works published. Through my work, I strive to plant seeds of hope to break down barriers that keep people in bondage. My goal is simple: to foster change in people through my writing.
